There's a lot to like about this restaurant. The food is tasty enough, the service is friendly enough, and the prices are reasonable. All that being said, the dishes we ordered were just... off. They use the skinniest chow-mein noodles I've ever seen. And the general chicken was just deep fried chicken chunks in sauce. No veggies. It was good sauce, but still. The other dish included just the sweet corn starch sauce. I know that's a thing, but not my favorite.
Long story short, this place is decently average. -

We found Louie's Mandarin Gourmet on Yelp. It was near our motel, and we were on our way out of town, looking for a good place for a late lunch. We love Chinese food, and found a delicious place to eat! I had a long-standing favorite of mine - Kung Pao chicken. I had no problem getting it made gluten free...same for my husband's dish. The Kung Pao was super flavorful. The egg drop soup was particularly tasty, too. Alice served us, and she did a great job. Thank you, Alice, we look forward to coming back!

By far this was the best place I've been to traveling outside of California! My partner and I were on a business trip and for 10-11 dollars, it's definitely worth it!

Ordered the beef chow udon. It's sweeter than it's supposed to be. Portion size is okay. Definitely not my cup of tea. You will probably like it if you like panda express.
